It's My Birthday!!

Today was my little babies birthday. Aspen turned one. I cannot believe it. She is so fun and we absolutely love the sweet spirit she brings into our home. She spent most of her day with a sucker in her mouth and her brother and sister singing over and over happy birthday to her. Hannah said this morning, 'Mom, she doesn't look like she is one yet. Pick her up. See if she is heavier, maybe she is just heavier now.' Loved it. Still hasn't figured out that something magical doesn't happen the night before your birthday. We had planned a party with all my family but unfortunately the first major storm of the winter season hit today of all days. Most were unable to make it and we know Grandma Jill was not happy that she couldn't see the birthday girl today, but we figure it will give us an excuse to celebrate it again a little later. Grandma LaMont and Aunt Bobbie stopped by to bring her a gift. We were lucky that cousin Dallan and Paisley were able to come to Aspen's party and we had such a fun time with them and Aspen's new little tickle monster mittens. We love you little Aspen and hope you have enjoyed your first year as much as we have.
